*Cover the egg completely with vinegar.
*Let the egg sit for one day. (If your egg doesn’t look different, let it sit longer. Check on it every day to see changes. Once it looks like the shell is no longer there, your egg is ready! This might take a few days.) The lady in this video had to wait more than 24 hours https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vs5W8xvkx0.
*Use a baking sheet when checking the bounciness of your egg.
*Write down any observations you have made throughout the experiment.

An example of an exaggeration is: “My homework took FOREVER!” Did you really do homework forever? Or did it just seem to take a long time? That is an exaggeration. Also in tall tales, the main character seems to have super powers and a problem to solve.
This relates to logging because one of the most famous loggers is a tall tale character named Paul Bunyan! If you go to the Iron County Museum in Iron River, you can hear some stories about logging camps and Paul Bunyan.

Friday (April 17th):
Fridays are days for catching up. Did you do your work for the week? If not, finish it. Below are some activities you may do today if you’re all caught up.
Reading: Are you going to do the book presentation? If so, did you pick a book you would like to do a presentation on yet? If not, do you have books at home you could pick from? If you don’t, let me know and I can send you some online resources. (I know it's hard without a library!) Please email me the book you would like to read OR if you need some online options. Start reading!
IF you are not going to do a book presentation (includes reading a book and making a project to go with it), you STILL need to find a book to read. It's important to keep your reading skills up!
Spelling: We will not be doing spelling tests. If you would like to test your spelling knowledge, have a parent or sibling give you a practice test. Otherwise do an activity from the link. (click link)
REFLEX: Work until you get a full green circle. (click link)
Connecting with Your Classmates: (click link) So many of you sent me a letter in the mail. I couldn’t wait to check the mail to see what I got. Each letter made me smile. I have them hanging up in my house to remind me of the amazing students in my class. Lyle Price added a joke to his letter, which gave me an idea. Today, share your favorite (school appropriate) joke on Padlet.
WAHOO! You finished your first week of online learning! I’m so proud of you all for showing up and doing your best work. Spend lots of time playing games and playing outside as much as you can. Happy Friday!

Social Studies: A tall tale is a story full of exaggerations (something that is made to sound bigger than it is).
